Marion Reneau represents the rare combination of elite athlete, educator, fighter, and leader. Her journey is defined by discipline, perseverance, and a lifelong commitment to excellence in sport and in service to others.

Before becoming a world-class mixed martial artist, Marion was already competing at the highest level of athletics. She earned a full athletic scholarship as a heptathlete to California State University, Long Beach, where she balanced the demands of Division I competition with academic excellence. During her time there, she earned a double bachelor’s degree in Sports Medicine and Fitness, building the scientific foundation that would later shape her approach to training and coaching.

While many athletes focus solely on competition, Marion dedicated 17 years to education, teaching at the high school level and mentoring young people during some of the most formative years of their lives. At the same time, she was quietly building a reputation in combat sports—training, competing, and developing the skill set that would eventually propel her onto the world stage.

With more than 18 years of experience in mixed martial arts and a lifetime of athletic training through track and field, Marion’s relentless work ethic and resilience led her to compete in the premier organization in the sport, the Ultimate Fighting Championship. There, she became known not only for her toughness and technical skill, but also for her grit, composure, and the unwavering mindset that defined her career.

Today, Marion’s greatest impact extends far beyond her own accomplishments. As a gym owner, coach, and mentor, she is dedicated to building champions on and off the mats. Through leadership, discipline, and example, she continues to inspire athletes, empower women, and cultivate a community built on strength, respect, and growth.

Marion Reneau’s legacy is not defined by a single title or moment, but by a lifetime of dedication—to sport, to education, and to empowering the next generation to become stronger than they ever believed possible.  At one point in her MMA carrier, Marion Reneau was ranked #6 in the world in the Bantam Weight Division with the UFC. She was part of the UFC roster for 7 years before retiring in July of 2021 and currently has the LARGEST women's jiu jitsu team in Visalia.

She is a 14x Master World IBJJF Champion (Black Belt). 4x Master Pan Champion, 1x Master No Gi Champion
